Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls Recipe

These Peanut Butter Balls are one of my favorite treats! They are super easy to make and you won’t believe how wonderful they taste.  Maybe you will – anything peanut butter & chocolate is amazing, isn’t it?!

Ingredients:

2 cups of peanut butter
½ Cup of butter
4 ½ Cups of icing/confectioner’s sugar
3 cups of Crisped Rice Cereal
2 cups of chocolate chips
3 Tbsp. of shortening

Directions:

1. Melt the peanut butter and the butter together over medium heat. Do not boil.
2. Mix the icing sugar and crisped rice cereal together in a large bowl.
3. Pour the melted peanut butter into the bowl with the icing sugar and crisped rice cereal.
4. Mix together very well with your hands.
5. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
6. Cool in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
7. When the peanut butter balls are completely cooled, melt the chocolate chips and shortening in a double boiler.
8. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and place it back onto the cookie sheet.
9. Let the chocolate-covered balls cool and harden.
10. Melt different colored chocolate and place it into a disposable decorating bag. Decorate for any occasion.
