Write Everything Down
The best thing you can do to bring more order to your life is to write everything down. Keep a small notebook with you. Jot down messages, appointments, notes, and ideas you have throughout the day.
The ideal notebook to keep yourself organized (if you want to invest in one) is a day planner, which is fantastic for keeping track of dates and times of upcoming appointments, etc. This way, you won’t forget about anything that needs to get done.

Maintain a Clutter-free Environment
Keeping your space clean and free of clutter is essential to stay organized. Use bins or other containers to keep things in rather than leaving them strewn out on the counter or tabletop.
Also, take a bit of time every day to go through your house and put everything back where it belongs. A great place to pick up inexpensive bins is Dollar Tree!
Use Money Managing Apps
While many banks offer customers viewable transaction history, stand-alone finance apps allow you to track your spending and see exactly where your money ends up each month. This will give you a clear view of your day-to-day financial situation and help you organize your bills and expenses.
Minimize Your Belongings
The more stuff you have to store, the harder it is to keep it well-organized. Find things that you don’t use anymore and donate or recycle them to cut down on how much you have. A good guideline is to get rid of anything you haven’t used for a year or longer.
One of my favorite ways to donate items I no longer want is through the Vietnam Veterans Association. They come right to your house to pick up your donation, and you don’t even have to be home!
Another great option to minimize your belongings is selling them on ThreadUP, Poshmark, or eBay.
Put Things Away Immediately
Try to make a habit of putting things back where they go immediately after you’re done using them. This keeps your home or office from getting cluttered in the first place, which makes it much easier to keep your things organized.
By following these five tips, you’ll be well on your way to getting organized now. Even if you only accomplish a little each day, you’ll be better organized before you know it!
